Kris Furillo portrayed by Genevieve Cortese.

A young jockey 23 years of age who formerly served time in a juvenille hall. Kris shares a special bond with Wildfire, a horse she saved from going to slaughter and helped turn into a champion racehorse. She had lost her jockey's license because she entered Wildfire into an illegal race but she got it back in Season 4. She has had on-and-off relationships with Junior Davis and Matt Ritter. However during all of season 4 she has been showing feelings for Junior and towards the end of the series, she ends up marrying Junior Davis. She also gets Wildfire as a very special wedding present from Jean and Pablo. Her relationship with Junior Davis has changed and as a joke, he often calls her "Cinderella" or that he's her "frog prince". Their relationship grew from playful dates to an actual romance that led them to get married. Junior loves Kris so much that in one episode titled, "The Claiming Race" he wanted to sleep with her; she 'didn't want to' and he wanted to respect her, showing her that he has mutual love for her. Kris once said to him that 'he's the one and that from the very beginning has always the been from day one.'

Junior Davis portrayed by Ryan Sypek.

Son and namesake of Ken; older half-brother to Dani. He is 22 years of age. He once owned a night club, but he made a bet on his club's ownership and lost. He also dabbled in the sport of professional bull riding where he made a friend called RJ Blake but he was killed by a bull. He has had an on-and-off relationship with Kris Furillo but towards the series end, they end up getting married. He nearly married Laura Nicholls but didn't because of his feelings for Kris.

Dani Davis portrayed by Nicole Tubiola

Daughter of Ken Davis and younger half-sister to Junior. She is 21 years of age. Dani formerly owned her own racing stable, but then took over as majority shareholder of Davis Farm before losing her racing license for participating in an illegal race. Originally she and Kris were not on good terms with each other resulting in Kris punching Dani in the face but in Season 4 they became friends. She has had relationships with Matt Ritter but she fell in love with Junior's bull riding friend RJ Blake. He died after being mowed down by a bull in the episode "Heartless". In Season 4 she set up her own Equine Center and had a brief relationship with Dr. Noah Gleeson. By the end of the series she got back together with Matt.

Jean Ritter portrayed by Nana Visitor

Matt and Todd's mother, co-owner of Raintree Farm. A kind of mother figure to Kris. She owns half of Raintree Farm. She turned it into a Dude Ranch in Season 4 but changed it back to a horse farm by late season 4. Pablo loves her.

Pablo Betart portrayed by Greg Serano

Pablo is the horse trainer at Raintree Farm. He brought Kris to Raintree after he discovered her riding abilities. He was responsible for her. He is the co-owner of the horse Wildfire with Matt and Jean Ritter. He left Raintree in Season 3 and joined Davis Farms as the head trainer but after Jean was injured by a horse in Season 4 he returned to Raintree. He is in love with Jean Ritter.

Matt Ritter portrayed by Micah Alberti

Oldest son of Jean; He is 22 years of age. Todd's older brother. He is co-owner of Raintree Farm along with his mother. He had on- and off relationships with Kris Furillo and Dani Davis. He once had a relationship with Jillian Parsons but left her for Kris. After Kris lost her racing license she went to Colorado for six months but came back to support Wildfire. Kris ended up getting married to Junior Davis and Matt got back together with Dani. 

Ken Davis portrayed by James Read

Father of Dani and Junior. He made Davis Farm one of the most powerful in the country before losing control of it by being indicted on six counts of fraud. He, after being acquitted of all the charges, bought back 46% of Davis Farms and later experienced a heart attack. He enjoys scotch and going to the country club. He was against Junior marrying Kris but in the end was happy for them.

Todd Ritter portrayed by Andrew Hoeft

The quirky, wise-beyond-his-years son of Jean; Matt's younger brother. Todd is in high school and lived at Raintree Farm in Seasons 1-3. But in Season 4 moved to boarding school and didn't appear in it at all. He was quoted by Henry as the toughest judge at Raintree.
